So, I am new to this photography world. My other half bought me an fz28 for Christmas because he figured i might want to actually take some photos when I travel. I took this one when I went up to Mt Lemmon, Arizona. I think its still tucson arizona practically though. Either way I thought it was pretty neat so I am sharing it here...

Some film shots =)
Current Mood: nostalgic
These photos were taken with a Minolta film camera (I will give specific info later when I find it!) that my PopPop gave to me that he has had since the 1970's. This is my most prized camera, because I'm still an old-fashioned girl who loves film shots. Its lenses are far supieor to my Rebel XTi. These photos were taken at Skyline Drive in Virginia. I think of the mountains as my home, my place of peace and refuge and connection. (The last picture in this series is way bigger than it's coming out in here, but I will post the original later.)

Just a few
Random selections of photos seem to be popular at the moment, so here are a few of mine.

Hello new community
I suppose I ought to start by telling you a little about me. My name is Paul and I live in the south-west of England. I'm not exactly a new photographer but I do it on a very amateur basis and I'm learning all the time. Sharing experiences, pictures and comments with other photographers (whatever level they are) is really helpful in growing as a photographer. I have found that you learn by practicing and seeing what works, but you also need other people to point things out that you may not have noticed.
Most of the photography I have done has been about the landscape I happen to find myself in. Over the last couple of years (since I suddenly realised that I might actually be able to do it reasonably well) I have tried out new things and tried to look at the world differently. With that in mind, earlier this year I bought a small haematite ring and I thought it might be fun to try and place it in the landscape in such a way as to make some interesting pictures. On and off during the summer months I have used the ring in my photos. I'd love to know what you think.
